Positions:

Pastry Cook (Assist with pastry production for retail sale & wholesale)

Responsibilities:

• Accurate scaling, mixing, baking of the following: Tarts, Cheesecakes, Cookies, Pies, Individual Desserts and Entremets, Eclairs, Quick Breads, Cupcakes, and Cakes, etc. 

• Daily pastry production of mousses, ganache, fillings, glazes, etc.

• finish and decorate French and American pastries for retail sale

• attention to detail, efficiency, creativity, cleanliness, communication skills, professionalism a must 

• Also assist in the Sales Department when needed

• Experience via Professional Culinary Education or work in a bakery/restaurant setting preferred but not required.

• Weekend availability a must

Cake Decorator 

• Preparation of signature cakes for retail sale as well as custom cakes for orders including wedding cakes

• Experience working with American and Italian buttercream as well as fondant is a must

• Artistic ability, attention to detail, efficiency, creativity, cleanliness, communication skills, professionalism a must

• Also assist in the Sales Department when needed

• Experience via Professional Culinary Education or work in a bakery/restaurant setting preferred but not required.

• Weekend availability a must

Breakfast/ Lunch Cook

• Preparation of seasonal breakfast/lunch menu including quiche, breakfast sandwiches, sandwiches, French toast, salads and soups

• Accurately preparing orders for service

• Attention to detail, efficiency, creativity, cleanliness, communication skills, professionalism a must

• Also assist in the Sales Department when needed

• Experience via Professional Culinary Education or work in a bakery/restaurant setting preferred but not required.

• Weekend availability a must

Barista 

• Accurate preparation of espresso beverages using a commercial grinder and espresso machine

• Preparation of drip coffee and tea 

• Must possess excellent time management and efficiency skills

• Knowledge of beverage service and experience in a coffee house or similar setting is preferred 

• Attention to detail, efficiency, creativity, cleanliness, communication skills, professionalism a must

Sales Associate 

• Seeking individuals with a passion for warm and friendly customer service to cultivate a welcoming cafe environment

• Weekend availability preferred

• Fulfilling orders utilizing Toast POS system and boxing pastries

• Excellent Communication skills necessary for expediting breakfast and lunch items from back kitchen.

• Maintaining cleanliness of dining room

Part-Time Delivery Driver – Desired Qualifications

We’re looking for a dependable, professional team member to join Ginger Snap Patisserie! This position is ideal for someone who enjoys driving, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and can be trusted to safely transport our handcrafted desserts and wedding cakes.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Reliable personal vehicle with enough cargo space to transport 20–30 pastry boxes safely (mileage reimbursement provided).

• Available Friday afternoons for regular wholesale deliveries.

• Occasional availability on Saturdays and Sundays for wedding cake and dessert deliveries.

• Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy with excellent time management skills.

• Comfortable driving routes throughout the Capital Region, including Malta, as well as the Southtowns, Downtown Buffalo, and North Tonawanda.

• Ability to safely load, transport, and unload delicate pastries, desserts, and specialty cakes.

• Experience transporting and setting up wedding cakes, with an understanding of how to handle multi-tiered cakes safely.

• Artistic eye and experience working with fresh flowers, including placing floral accents on wedding cakes on-site (preferred).

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor when interacting with restaurant staff, café owners, wedding venues, and clients.

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs when necessary.

• Calm under pressure and capable of solving problems independently if unexpected situations arise.

• Detail-oriented, ensuring all orders are complete, accurate, and delivered in pristine condition.

• Food service, bakery, catering, or wedding industry experience is a plus.
